Mr. Jared Talkin
Director, YAS
Mr. Jared Talkin is pursuing an M.S. in Sustainability Management and works as a research fellow at Columbia University. He has a B.A. in Sustainable Development from Columbia University and also works as a consultant on sustainability issues.

Ms. Haja Kakay
Assistant Director, YAS
Ms. Haja Kakay is originally from Sierra Leone and Liberia. She has a Masters in International Conflict Resolution from Georgetown University and received undergraduate degrees from the College of William and Mary in Psychology and Sociology.

Board Member & Secretary, YAS
Ms. Marie Kerline Charles holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health & Women and Gender Studies and a Master’s Degree in Health Policy and Management & International Health.

Ms. Jennifer Elstrott
Board Member, YAS
Ms. Jennifer Elstrott is pursuing a BS in Geography with a minor in GIS at Portland State University. She works as a GIS Intern at Cowlitz Public Utility District.

Mr. Nelson Jarrín
Board Member, YAS
Mr. Nelson Jarrín holds a BA degree in International Studies with a concentration in Culture and Communication from The City College of New York. He also holds an AAS degree in Computer Operations: Network Administration and Security Options from LaGuardia Community College.
